This morning Lisa MacDonald popped by to let us know that some ice pancakes had formed on the river by the bull park. We were all very excited to see them and within ten minutes 5 of our classes were on their way to the river to look at this phenomenon! It was a lovely morning for a walk and a bit of impromptu Outdoor Education. If you’d like to see these ice pancakes take a walk down the steps at Castle Terrace, turn left and near the field you will see these pancakes floating on the water at the pool where children sometimes swim in summertime.
