Open Afternoon – Tomorrow Thursday 6th October
Thursday 6th October 1.30 – 3.00pm
In class between 1.30 – 2.45pm
Tea and coffee available
Parents are invited to our open afternoon this week, which we are all looking forward to. As you know the school is still undergoing construction and our space is limited, so I ask for your understanding on this occasion. Please enter the school via the front door.
The open afternoon is your opportunity to see how the children learn in the classroom. Please be sensitive about the number of adults in any one classroom at any one time and move on to allow other parents to visit that class. The children and teachers will enjoy having you in the classroom whilst they get on with the activities planned for the afternoon. When you visit you might be asked to join in with activities or you may just watch. Please do not ask your child to show you the classroom or any other area of the school, as they are to stay with the class teacher at all times.
There will be a timetable as you come into the school which will let you know the types of activities happening across the school. It is a good opportunity to visit different classes, even if your child is not in them, so that you can see progression throughout the school. The parent council will be serving Teas and Coffees and baking in the hall and it will give you an opportunity to meet and chat to other parents.
Please remember not to overcrowd the classrooms, to visit lots of classes but most of all to ENJOY the time in the school. I will be around, as will the pupil council to answer any questions and guide you around the building.
Looking forward to seeing you all.
Please leave any children’s buggies in the hall or corridors as there is no space in the classrooms, sorry!
