Andy, a partner in the company who supply our new Fairtrade uniform, came into our school today to talk to the children about the process of producing a Fairtrade cotton item. He spoke about cotton growers, those who work in the ginning and spinning factories, those who weave the fabrics and finally the people who make the clothes. We think it’s very sad that less than 1% of the cotton sold here in the UK is Fairtrade. We are glad that our school is helping some people who were caught in a work and poverty trap. Keep buying Fairtrade.
